Galiano Island is an anomaly in that of all the Southern Gulf Islands it provides a fine balance between rural living and undeveloped forestland. For a very reasonable green fee, the recreational golfer can play The Galiano Golf Club’s 9-hole course that provides both a challenge and a relaxing atmosphere. Island visitors can chose to indulge in organized recreational activities or merely sit and enjoy the sun setting on the panoramic view of the surrounding islands as their cares are washed away with the endless tides.
